Juliet was born into a family whose members have severe allergies, and she definitely inherited her fair share. Starting as a little girl she was sensitive to nickel, antibiotics, and other medications. By age 11, she had her first severe reaction to Aloe Vera when she used an aloe infused facial tissue, causing had her face break out in hives and trouble with her breathing.
Juliet was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome, OCD, Anxiety, Panic Disorder and multiple learning disabilities. Despite all, she’s managed to go to school and complete her education. All the while battling with a heavy level of paranoia about going out in public, or even shaking another person’s hand.
In the last 2 years alone, Juliet has gone into anaphylactic episodes five times at work. The severity of her allergy even cost her job due to lack of understanding about allergens and anaphylacsis. You see, many products that contain aloe are labeled as hypoallergenic, this causes a lot of confusion. It is in everything from personal care products, to sanitizers, and soaps.
In her spare time, Juliet donates her time to the Tourette’s Syndrome Association and to spreading awareness about rare allergies.
Juliet has been partnered with Taz who will alert her to presence of her allergen. He will make it so she can have a bit more of a normal life, for the first time.
